Xbox 360Following Sony’s not-so-veiled shot at Microsoft (and Nintendo) with its price comparison chart last week, Microsoft has responded with a fairly cool-headed response. Speaking at CES, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 group product manager, Aaron Greenberg, took a less offensive approach by saying, “I would rather talk about why you should buy our console than why you shouldn’t buy the competitor’s system.”

Sony believes — or at least wants prospective consumers to believe — that Microsoft is “peddling add-ons,” but Greenberg thinks that having the lowest price on the market for a current-gen console was a big win for the 360.

“I would say we absolutely would not want to trade places with Sony,” he told Kotaku. “We feel like being half the price of the PS3 served us quite well this holiday.”
