It was announced today that Activision will be releasing 3 bundles for the upcoming Call of Duty Modarn Warfare 2 game. Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling announced and detailed all 3 of the packages within a YouTube video.

The first one is the standard edition and it’s pretty much perfect for anyone that wants to grab the game and enjoy playing it. For anyone that likes looking at the development of the game, there is the Hardened Edition.

The Hardened Edition is any normal special edition game. It comes with a collectors art book and a download code for the original Call of Duty game, this is all stored in a special metal case. This bundle will cost you $80.

The final edition is as crazy as the Gears of War 2 special edition that came with a life size lancer. The Prestige Edition comes with everything that the Hardened Edition does, but it also comes with an added bonus. The special item you get is a pair of fully functional night vision goggles, pretty awesome.

Alongside your night vision goggles, you will also get a sculpted head so that you can display the goggles when you’re not using them.

This does sound amazingly good, but it all comes at a price. If you really want your night vision goggles, it will cost you a whopping $150. This is certainly pricey, no doubt Activision will make alot out of it from hardcore gamers.

So if you love gaming and are looking to buy a pair of night vision goggles, then you should buy the Prestige Edition, however, if your not, you still should buy the Prestige Edition.

I’m sure not many gamers will be waiting for the game reviews to be released before they order their copy of the game. With a successful game like this, not many will need to read the video game reviews!

Which ever title you play, whether it you play the first one released on Playstation 2 or the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 on PS3, guides out there come in all shapes and sizes. There are video tutorials with commentary. These you should really look out for, as the commmentary is like gold dust - it gives you an overview of exactly what is trying to be achieved. You have video’s of people playing with no commentary these can be useful if your are watching a top player, if your watching some twelve year old kid called Gilbert who just fancied uploading a video of himself playing COD, I doubt it will improve your game too much. There are 100s of websites with written walk through guide, and screen shots. These are often quite basic but can be really useful for starters. They can be quite difficult to get advanced tactits and real strategy into just a few words and screenshots though. This can be as much as 100s of pages of strategy…. which can be boring when you need to read through it all!

I think the main reason there has been a lot of interest in modern warfare guides recently is the online multiplayer aspect of the new call of duty titles. The community aspect of the game has strengthened some friendships as well as intensified some rivalries. This often winds up leading to people wanting to beat their friends and gain the bragging rights that go along with it. I usually go with ‘I destroyed and owned your a**!Also, often people want to improve their skills to get recognition - even if they are across the other side of the world. For example, if all your team have all died. If you somehow kill all three and defuse the bomb you will be a hero in your teams eyes and certainly get the bragging rights that go with it.

A question that is asked time and time again about call of duty is how to find hidden features, or even cheats. A good place to start is Youtube - spend just five minutes searching (avoid the bad videos), and you should be able to find some good material to help you out. Another reference point would be forums where you know there are some players on there who are actually really good at the game or players who may not be that good but talk a lot of sense when it comes to strategy.

Finding a good quality forum is very time consuming, bugood players will improve your game more than you would believe.
