And now Pros and Cons about PlayStation 3 from some users:
Pros:
+ Excellent game selection. Good pricing.
+ a great Blu-ray player that is updated frequently by Sony ( firmware updates allow this player to evolve over time!)
+ ability to rent/stream movies from my couch through PSN. No subscription is necessary.
+ obviously the SLIM is lighter, smaller, and less energy consumption.
+ much quieter than 40GB PS3! (especially during blu-ray playback and long game play!)
+ PS3 Slim has ability to bitstream Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD MA audio( my receiver can now display TrueHD audio properly!)
+ Amazing overall build/construction.
+ Very good graphics.
+ Compact size.
+ Solid menu system.
+ Streaming-media works flawless.
+ Has held up for almost non-stop running for a few months now, doesn’t even seem to hiccup.
+ Great cost/value
Cons:
- No linux support, games a little bit expensive, expensive accesories as well
- No PS2 Backward compatibility
- Backup Utility is awkward (nobody uses FAT32 format anymore and it’s actually a process to even format a HDD that way)
- Online play isn’t as good as 360’s
- No mic jack on controller
- Controller requires a USB connection for charging. Controller does not have removable batteries.
- The relatively low loading of blue ray (from the moment you put it in to the moment it actually starts playing)
- That it only has 2 usb ports and that both are in the front (I would have liked to have one or two in the back to connect the dongle for my wireless keyboard)
- The webrowser is nice to have, but not very fast and not too friendly. A more common safari/opera/IE would have been even nicer
- That it doesn’t support SACD, PS2 games or even have the card readers the original model had.
Well, that’s all. Hopefully you got some-idea now about this product..

A Journey into Resonance of Fate And What It Has To Offer
The wave of the realise of the latest JRPGs continues through this month with the release of the Resonance of Fate from producers of Sega. Following fast on the heels of the larger names Final Fantasy and White Knight Chronicles, this title was at risk of being fully overshadowed, yet has in reality proved to be a dark horse entry, gathering a rising level of appreciation from RPG fans.
The Resonance of Fate centres on a distant world which is crumbling into chaos. Vast cities are being poisoned while the aristocratic higher classes do nothing to help, and thus you control three characters searching for justice. Gameplay revolves solely round firearm battles, and as you advance further your firearms will be custom-made and augmented.
The fighting system employed throughout Resonance of Fate has divided many gamers. First of all, it’s quite unforgiving and piles a lot of information onto the player at once, making all of it appear fairly difficult when beginning. Nevertheless, commit just a few solid hours to perfecting it and the result’s an intricate and dynamic system displaying balletic gun skirmishes.
Visually, the game is impressive to look at and provides a nice steampunk inspired world. The characters are attractive in a generic anime way, although the ongoing ’boutique’ shop, which allows you to customise your character’s look during Resonance of Fate, is a great addition.
Overall, this is a nice addition to the JRPG genre. It takes a chance with the age assured combat system and, while the result won’t be to everyones appreciation, it is a worthy effort. It looks polished and crucially includes the favourite RPG features such as cities and NPC interplay, which have been curiously missing in other current high profile releases. If you’re a follower of JRPGs with an individual twist, give Resonance of Fate a chance.

PS3 Slim Compared To Playstation 3 “FAT”
The PS3 Slim is a highest product when compared with the PS3 80/160GB models. This relatively inexpensive, feature packed, versatile gaming machine, multimedia hub and outstanding Blu-ray player, earns back the 5th star that I granted the Classic models and I didn’t feel that the PS3 80/160GB models deserved.
The older PS3s weren’t particularly noisy but the PS3 Slim seems to be more quiet and, after several hours of play, the Slim didn’t get as warm as my Classic. The 2 USB ports pain me a short because I brought along the Eye, a USB-wired HDD, a USB keyboard and a dongle-based wireless keyboard. That meant that I had to do a lot of plugging and unplugging when investigation. In true existence, it’s not so handy to aim a mechanism and make many than one USB-connected circumferential. There are tertiary party generic USB hubs (displeasing) or PS3-specific port extenders and media hubs that could be utilized to amount the number of USB ports and alter backwards the media card slots.
The good news is that you can do just about everything you did with the PS3 80/160GB models and in the exact same way. During my attempt ride, I was able to action all the games I brought with me without a problem, the Bluetooth removed controller was established forthwith and so was the Playstation Eye. Both a USB-dongle full-size wireless keyboard, a USB-connected wired keyboard and Sony’s own Bluetooth mini-keyboard worked as expected. I was fit to upload pictures, videos and sound from a USB device traverse and a USB-connected SATA 2.5″ hard disk and play them in the same way I do it on my own Playstation 3.
On my overall image of the Slim is “nothing new” at smallest on cover. But PS3 Slim more cooler, quieter, smaller, and more energy efficient – you don’t notice while playing a game or watching a movie. The really great news about the PS3 Slim is that so many more will be able to afford it and, with a larger user base, more developers will feel more strongly motivated to publish more, better games that all of us will enjoy. This is the best buy game console.
Here At Last; Final Fantasy XIII Promises An Awe-Inspiring Gaming Adventure
This week we witness the unveiling of one of the most vastly anticipated titles of the decade; Final Fantasy XIII. This game was really first teased at way back in 2006, so the long road to release has been staggering. However, that wait is finally over and we will all sit down to surely what’s going to be the videogame event of the year.
Launched in December over in Japan, Final Fantasy XIII has actually amassed a little controversy since its unveling, and the evaluations received for the game haven’t quite been the full aces developers Square Enix were hoping for. The main reason for this being that Final Fantasy XIII has somewhat drastically revised the fundamental gameplay related to the series, and indeed the RPG style on the whole. Gone are NPCs, interactive towns and an instantly open world.
As an alternative, Final Fantasy XIII is much more linear and storyline driven. Users observe quite a strictly set route for the first 25 hours or so of gaming. Following this, the gameplay opens up and users are free to observe their very own choices a little bit more. This has been a serious gripe amongst some, yet others welcome the more focussed and cinematic approach. It actually does depend on your inclination.
One component which has been universally commended is the combat system, which comprises an impressive mesh of X and XII. Gamers are actually able to ’stack’ attacks, and the more you can stack increases as you level up. Moreover, in Final Fantasy XIII there are various different roles your characters can command, including healer and tank, and players are free to swap these roles throughout combat.
It’s a forgone conclusion that the visuals in this title are awesome. Presentation has always been Square Enix’s crux, and the series has always provided top range visuals. Being the first of the series to hit the next gen consoles, Final Fantasy XIII is, unquestionably, the best looking title ever. The FMVs are so detailed and gorgeous you’ll wish to stare at them all day, and the in-game graphics are good enough to rival the FMVs of lesser games.
Throw in an undoubtedly grand storyline, and you have the most important game of the year. It may be a little different to what you are familiar with, but overall Final Fantasy XIII is simply what everyone’s been ready for. Masterful fighting, achingly stunning visuals and a guartenteed 60+ hours of gameplay mean Final Fantasy has returned with a vengeance. Let the journey get underway.
