This entire week, only Epic Games have been discussed because Epic Games has come into the controversy regarding their famous game Fortnite. The mobile version of Fortnite has been banned on Google Playstore and Apple’s Appstore. The reason for this was the new payment method of Epic Games.

In this method, they reduced the price of in-game currency v bucks by 20%. Normally Google Playstore and Apple’s Appstore have their own payment system for in-app purchases, but Epic Games bypassed them and introduced their own payment method.

With Epic Games’ own payment system, they would have benefited because before their own payment system they had to give a cut of 30% to Google and Apple on every in-app purchase, but now they could avoid paying 30% cut to Google and Apple.

This decision by Epic Games led to policy violence of Google and Apple and that’s why Google and Apple banning Fortnite, to which Epic Games sues Google and Apple, and now this case is going to be completely legal.
