The Ghost Recon franchise is one of Ubisoft’s most successful franchises. The first title of the Ghost Recon franchise came in the year 2001, which was named Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon and since then 15 titles have been added to this franchise and now recently the 16th title has been announced which name is Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline.
Ghost Recon franchise has completed 20 years, due to which recently a live event was organized by Ubisoft. The most interesting part of the event was when Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline game was announced, however, fans were shocked after this announcement because this time the new Ghost Recon game is different from its previous lineup.
Actually, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline is going to be a 100 players battle royale game. This game is going to be free to play i.e. this will be the first game in the Ghost Recon franchise which will be free. The game is built on the Ghost Recon breakpoint engine. It has also been revealed during the event that we will get to see only FPS mode in Ghost Recon Frontline, although many fans have been shocked by this point but the reason for this is direct competition from Call of Duty Warzone.
If you play Call of Duty Warzone, then you would know that only FPS mode is available in COD Warzone and it may be that due to this, Ubisoft has also included only FPS mode in its Ghost Recon Frontline. Looking at the trailer, it is clear that we are going to see many different weapons in the Ghost Recon Frontline game and along with it some crazy gadgets and machines have also been added to the game. Apart from weapons, many vehicles are also seen in the trailer which will be drivable.
At present, it has been confirmed by Ubisoft that this game will be launched on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, Stadia, and Luna but can this game be released for mobile devices as well??
Although official information has not been given by Ubisoft that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline game will also be released for mobile devices but looking at the current situation, it seems that this game will also be released for mobile devices.
Actually, most of the major game development companies are currently focusing on PC and Console as well as battle royale and multiplayer mobile games.
- Activision has released Call of Duty Mobile long ago, in which both battle royale and multiplayer modes are included.
- Epic Games popularized the battle royale genre with its Fortnite game, although initially Fortnite was released only for the PC and console, but later the game was released for mobile devices as well.
- Apex Legends Mobile, a game from the battle royale genre of Electronic Arts (EA), is also going to be released very soon, about which mobile gamers are currently very excited. EA is also about to release the mobile version of its popular franchise Battlefield, which first beta test was released recently.
- Riot has already released the mobile version of its most popular game League of Legends and they have also officially announced that their Valorant game is going to be released on mobile devices soon.
Looking at the steps taken by these big game development companies to get a good grip on mobile gaming, it seems that Ubisoft is currently lagging behind in this race. Ubisoft also knows very well that there is a lot of potential in the mobile gaming industry at the moment, but at present, Ubisoft does not have any mobile game that can help Ubisoft to compete with its competitors and probably keeping this in mind, Ubisoft has made Ghost Recon Frontline a battle royale game and has placed it in the free to play category.
It is possible that after the release of Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Frontline game on PC and Console, Ubisoft will also announce the mobile version of this game.
