This is going to be the largest and Important event for India’s esports because BGMI players have waited a lot for this event. The Awesome thing is that Battlegrounds Mobile India Series has been announced and even more awesome thing is that this tournament’s prize pool is worth ₹ 1 crore. The tournament format has also been released, if you want to know about the format then you have come to the right place.
In this article, we will give you complete information about BGMI Series’s tournament format and will also share some tips, due to which you can easily qualify for the qualifier round.
BGMI Tournament Format
This tournament is running from 2nd August to 10th October and this tournament is divided into 5 stages.
1. In-Game Qualifiers
In-game qualifiers start from August 2 for which you have to register with your squad. In In-game qualifiers, you will have to play Total 15 matches with your squad, and to play these 15 matches you have been given the time till 8th August. All matches you will have to play with your registered squad after 2 August only then that will be the matches count. Total 1024 teams will be qualified for the next stage from in-Game Qualifiers.
2. Online Qualifiers
By clearing the first stage, 1024 teams will play for the second stage i.e. Online Qualifiers. Online Qualifiers will run from August 17 to September 12.
Round – 1
Online Qualifiers will have total 3 rounds for which 1024 teams will be divided into 64 different groups. For the next round, every group will have to play 2 matches, out of which total 8 teams will be qualified for the second round.
Round – 2
The 512 teams qualified from the first round will be divided into 32 groups for second round. Every group will have to play 2 matches after which the Total 7 teams out of each group will be qualified for round 3.
Round – 3
Qualified 224 teams and 32 invited teams will be divided into 16 groups and after which the team present in all those groups will have to play 2 matches, out of each group 4 teams will be qualified for Next Stage i.e. Quarter Finals.
3. Quarter Finals
If we talk of Quarter Finals then Quarter Finals will run from September 16 to September 26. From the third round of online qualifiers, 64 teams will play for Quarter Finals. The 64 teams will be divided into total 4 groups and all the teams present in those 4 groups will have to play total 6 matches. Out of all the teams, Total 4 teams will be qualified for Semi Finals.
Loser Bracket
Loser Bracket is a golden chance for all those teams who could not qualify for Semi Finals. In Quarter Finals, 48 losing teams will be divided into 3 groups and then every single team plays 6 matches again. After 6 matches the top 8 teams will be selected which will be qualified for Semi Finals.
4. Semi Finals
If we talk about the duration of Semi Finals then Semi Finals will run from September 30 to October 3. After all the matches and fluctuations, total 24 teams will play in Semi Finals. 24 teams will be divided into 3 groups and among all these groups matches will be organized in Robin format. Out of the Total 24 teams, 16 teams will be such which will be qualified for Grand Finals.
5. Grand Finals
Grand Finals will run from October 7 to October 10, that is, the duration of Grand Finals will be 4 days. Total 16 teams will play in Grand Finals In which 20 matches will be organized in 4 days. The team that will have the most cumulative score will win the Batglound Mobile India series.
Tips to Quality in In-Game Qualifiers
To qualify in In-game qualifiers Do not play 15 matches in Single Take because you have enough time to complete with 15 matches. Divide 15 matches in three days, in which played 5 matches on the first day, played 5 matches on the second day, and played 5 matches third day.
Top 10 matches will be considered from your 15 matches. If you talk about Kills then you have to do the average of the total 35 kills and try to do 10 chicken dinner.
