The white Lotus, HBO‘s limited series is a roller-coaster thriller and comedy series written and directed by Mike White. Title “Arrivals” rightly explains the first episode. Mike white as usual at his best and has done wonderful work.
The story starts with a very handsome guy Shane Patton ( played by Jack Lucy) sitting alone at Hawaiian airport. After a while, a couple started to enquire about his travel plans. He replied that a murder took place at The White Lotus resort where he was with his wife on honeymoon.
He added that the corpse is being transported on the same flight on which he is going to travel. Hearing this, the couple eagerly asked him about his wife but Shane ignored them. Now the question is, was Mrs. Patton the victim?
Before we could understand anything the story goes back one week earlier. It is the time when Mr. Shane Patton and his wife Rachel entered the resort White Lotus. In the Resort, we came to know some other characters like a family of five people and the manager of the resort named Armond, and his pregnant trainee Lina.
The rollercoaster of the comedy continues. In between Mr. Patton informed that resort staff have promised them different room against the one they have provided. Rachel insisted, let’s forget about the room and enjoy our honeymoon.
Meanwhile, Lina is trying her best not to give birth to her baby on the very first day of her job. In this comedy thriller story, some more scenes and cast were added by white to entertain us. And believe me, you will enjoy it thoroughly.
Mike White has wonderfully introduced many characters in the very first episode of the season The White Lotus. You will definitely like it and now the eyes on the second episode.
